Heritage still being made
Arts, culture & heritage
Folk song and dance on village grounds, theatre in Unnao, Kathak in a tailoring school, and an online programme that carried art to children who could not travel.
A storytelling of the stage
Culture as livelihood of the spirit
Several of these programmes were organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. They are not ornaments attached to “real” development work. Folk music, Rajasthani dance, the play Bade Ghar Ki Beti, Independence Day performances, and student plays against addiction are how a community remembers who it is — and how children learn to stand on a stage before they learn to stand in an office.
Traditional handicraft training and artisan registration belong here too: Chikankari is both a wage and a heritage.

Folk music & dance
Hasrat, Sadavo, Rasiya, Kangsiyo, and Rajasthani dance on the Ambedkar Maidan.
Theatre
A village staging of Bade Ghar Ki Beti, with music, puppetry, and magic beside the play.
Young artists
Kathak, song, dholak, art, and Taekwondo — in school courtyards and online.
