Detailed description

The Sansthan conducted a survey and registration programme for handicraft artisans in Sandila, Lonihara, Babupur, Samia, Bharwara, Baruipur, Rajepura, Bahoranpur, Machhrehta, Gothwa, and surrounding areas. Artisans in traditional woodwork and other crafts — women and men — were identified, their details collected on prescribed forms, and handicraft artisan cards prepared and registered. The purpose is practical: registration can open the door to schemes, training, and institutional support. Social workers Smt. Vandana Devi, Shanti Devi, and Renu Kashyap, with hundreds of residents and artisans, helped complete the process. In a state where craft is often inherited but rarely documented, a card is more than paper — it is a claim to be seen.
