Detailed description

In collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Mahila Kalyan Nigam, Lucknow, the Sansthan conducted employment-oriented skill development training for beneficiaries in Sandila, Bahoranpur, Machhrehta, Gangapur, Babupur, and other areas of District Sitapur. Qualified women trainers taught trades including dal and daliya preparation, papad making, file-board and box manufacturing, beauty parlour work, tailoring and embroidery, fruit preservation, jam and jelly, pickle making, and marmalade and murabba. Training was practical. On completion, tool kits and materials were distributed; during the course, participants received refreshments and a stipend so that poverty would not keep them from the classroom. The intent is self-employment, home-based enterprise, and a more secure household income.
