Detailed description
With the support of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, the Sansthan organised a Road Safety Awareness Programme across rural and urban areas of Machhrehta, Khairabad, and other blocks of District Sitapur. Methods included puppet shows, street plays, pamphlets, posters, slogan writing, magic shows, and visual presentations. A one-day seminar was held at Yuvan Banshidhar College / Inter College, inaugurated by Shri Vimal Rajan, Assistant Regional Manager, with Shri Harish Kumar Shukla as Special Guest. The same messages were taken to petrol pumps, railway crossings, T-points, tempo stands, bus stands, major crossroads, and road bends. Artists including Magician Man Singh and singer Smt. Geeta Tyagi were honoured, as were trainers and social workers of Aastha Meenu Silai Kadhai School. The method is theatrical on purpose: a rule remembered from a street play is a rule more likely to be kept.
